Photosynthesis

the process by which plants (and some other living things) make their own food. Unlike humans and other animals that need to eat food to survive, plants can make their own food using energy from the sun. They absorb the light and use it to make sugar. In the process, they also absorb carbon dioxide from the air and create oxygen we breathe.
